In college, you’ll spend approximately 16 hours in class each week, with attendance not even taken in many of those classes. You’ll have much more ownership of your day, and will make the choice as to whether or not you commit time to learn the material in a class.our days of memorizing lists and spitting them back onto a piece of paper to achieve success are over, sadly. College professors (good ones, anyway) are going to test you to see if you grasp the material presented in class. You’ll need to think your way through to the answer in many cases, particularly in upper level classes in your major. Your profs know that you’ll need to truly understand the concepts to apply then in your future jobs, so will work to ensure that you have truly learned them.
