Baby Environment Monitoring System by Using Raspberry Pi consists of many subsystems. The architecture of the system identifies the major components of a system and communication between those components. The figure 2.1 below indicates an architectural overview of the proposed project. The major components are raspberry pi, temperature and humidity sensor and camera module for video streaming.

a) Temperature and Humidity Sensor
The temperature and humidity sensor, with connection to the raspberry pi is used as an enhanced tool that would help determine the variations in the temperature and humidity in the surrounding environment of the infant. This sensor would regularly detect the temperature and humidity in the room where the infant’s crib resides. We monitor the temperature and humidity in order to make sure that the baby is sleeping in a comfortable environment.

b) Camera Module for Video Streaming
The system uses the raspberry pi camera for surveillance of the baby and sends a real time video to the web server so that they can monitor their baby remotely.

c) Raspberry pi
Raspberry pi is a credit-card sized computer and it functions almost as a computer. In various types of surveillance systems, the person who is stationary and is located in that particular area can only view what is happening in place .Whereas, here, even if the user is moving from one place to another. The main advantage is used for security purpose and another advantage that it offers privacy on both sides since it is being viewed by only one person. The other major advantage is that it is a simple circuit.

2.3 Technical Literature
In this section, the examples of existing systems will be review. The existing systems include Child Monitoring System and Motion Detection Using Raspberry Pi, Automated Child Monitoring System, Smart Surveillance Monitoring System Using Raspberry PI and PIR Sensor and Raspberry pi Based Smart Supervisor using the Internet of Things (IoT).
